Community Church engaged Cadre Architecture to provide them with a Utilization Study, Master Plan, and Preliminary Design services for a new Multi-purpose facility. They own approximately 20 acres, on the west edge of Decatur, Texas. Community Church has played an active role in special needs ministries in north Texas and they have partnered with a local pregnancy center to serve the women in their community.
The Master Plan includes a future Worship Center with additional parking, a Pregnancy Center, Cabins and Facilities for retreat purposes, and a new Multi-purpose Building. The Multi-purpose Building will be the focus of the Phase I scope of work.
It will include a new Fellowship Hall for 400, Serving Kitchen with Food Pantry, Storage/Dwelling Facility, and Restrooms. The Multi-purpose facility will be connected to the existing Worship Center with a conditioned corridor and indoor playground. A new covered pavilion will be striped for activity courts and available for community use.
Renovations to the existing Worship Center have been proposed as well. This will include a new administrative suite, break room, and a conference room.
